      Our Projects and Programs
 

Fabry Australia operates as an Association Incorporated Patient Organisation and is membership based. It has two part time paid staff; Managing Director (works 12 hours a week Mondays and Thursdays) and Administrative Officer (works 7 hours a week usually Thursdays) undertaking the day to day business of Fabry Australia.


A management Committee are responsible for Fabry Australia's strategy, governance and finances.

The Committee members are unpaid volunteers and many have a personal connection with Fabry disease. Fabry Australia also has a Medical Advisory Committee. 


Fabry Australia undertakes many activities, projects and programs to further support its membership.

Some of which include;

  • The Fabry Australia website

  • The Fabry Australia Social Media page and Fabry Australia Group Page which is under 'Secret' setting respecting privacy of those individuals posting about medical and personal Fabry experiences. Social media enables us to interact and communicate with members in a way that traditional websites cannot. We use social media as a means of remaining transparent providing timely information to our members.
